    Essential Oil Candle

    Aroma – Clear, sharp and piercing.

    Uses - Excellent for respiratory tract infections, influenza, throat infections, coughs, asthma and inflammations. Good for hay fever and aids in the reduction of body temperature. Oil uses: analgesic, antiseptic, antiviral, decongestant, deoderant, expectorant, parasiticide and stimulant.

    Description – There are over 700 different species of Eucalyptus in Australia, of which at least 500 produce a type of essential oil.

    Customary Practices – A traditional household remedy in Australia, the leaves and oil are especially used for respiratory ailments such as bronchitis and croup.

    Extraction - By steam distillation from the fresh or partially dried leaves and young twigs.

    GREEN TEA

    Aroma – Sweet, with soft undertones of Camellia.

    Description –

    Green tea is a type of tea made solely with the leaves of Camellia sinensis that has undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Green tea originates from China and has become associated with many cultures in Asia from Japan to the Middle East. Over the last few decades green tea has been subjected to many scientific and medical studies to determine the extent of its long-purported health benefits, with some evidence suggesting regular green tea drinkers may have lower chances of heart disease and developing certain types of cancer.

    Blends well with:Sandalwood, Orange and Lemongrass.

    LEMONGRASS

    Essential Oil candle

    Aroma – Fresh, tangy and invigorating

    Uses - Aids in the relief of headaches, respiratory problems, nervous exhaustion and stress related conditions. Widely used as an insect repellent, especially for fleas, ticks and lice.
    Oil uses: analgesic, antidepressant, anti oxidant, antiseptic, astringent, deodorant, insecticide and sedative.

    Description - Lemongrass is a fast growing aromatic perennial grass, native to Asia.

    Customary Practices - Traditionally it was used for infectious illnesses and fever. A great food flavour.

    Extraction - Oil extraction is by steam distillation from the fresh and semi dried leaves.

    Aroma – Fruity, sweet, tangy and refreshing.

    Uses - Uplifting and creates a positive mind. Assists in the respite of nervous conditions and depression. It relieves the listless. Oil uses: an anti inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent, and tonic

    Customary Practices - Oranges and lemons are said to strengthen the heart – they are good for thinning the blood, and beneficial for heart palpitations, heartburn and as a tonic.

    Extraction - Extraction is by cold expression from the outer peel of the almost ripe fruit.

    Blends well with - Cinnamon, Clove, Vanilla, Lavender and Ylang Ylang. Try it with chocolate if you like a jaffa!

    Uses - Aids in the relief of headaches, mental fatigue, migraines, nervous stress and vertigo.
    Oil uses: an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and expectorant.

    Description –A perennial herb which is cultivated world wide.

    Customary Practices - Peppermint has been cultivated since ancient times in China, Japan and Egypt where it has been found in tombs. Eastern and Western medicine use it for a variety of complaints including; indigestion, nausea, diarrhoea, headaches, toothaches, cramp and even flatulence.

    Extraction - Extraction is by steam distillation from the flowering herb.

    Blends well with - Eucalyptus and Vanilla.
